PMP

Interested individuals can check out the following well written blog, http://gotgb.blogspot.com by my friend, to garner details w.r.t. the PMP certification. Very Briefly, there are three broad prerequisites to appear for PMP:

  • If you are a graduate then 4500 hours of project management hours experience and if you are undergraduate then 10000 hours of project management experience. Project management experience does not have to be purely project management. Any experience in the process areas of project management, as defined by PMI, is also acceptable. The relevant experience letters should be obtained from current/previous employer
  • 35 hours of PMI training from the official PMI affiliated institute or a person. Total cost of training may vary from Rs 8000/- to Rs 12000/-
  • Exam registration which is subject to a random audit by PMI. Total approximate cost for exam registration is around Rs 20000/-
